ok so yesterday I was on the phone NON Stop! People kept calling about lessons. It was great. I now have:
Shelly - Wed Nights and Sun Afternoons
Ryan (5yr old) - Sun Afternoons
Kia (5yr old) - Friday Afternoons
and possibles:
Family of 3 - group lesson
Retired woman - Friday's (already took lessons, can't afford at the moment)
Kathy - My horse
I am also training a horse now, and hopefully will get another 1 or 2 to train.
This is my dream, even though I am not making enough to live on my own or anything like that, it's still a dream job, and what more can I ask for?

Finally!
I now have 2 for sure lesson students, one in her early to mid 40s the other is 5 1/2yrs old. I am a little worried about the 5 1/2 yr old as his mom is a definite worry wart. I think I'll bring my mom for company to help his mom relax the first time.
I finally sold Peyton. He went to an EXCELLENT home in Lostine. They use Clinton Anderson (plus others like Ray Hunt and a little Parelli but she says he kind of drives her nuts ... I agree). Her son is in Pony Club and will be in 4-H, and they love to just ride around the house. He is in VERY capable and wonderful hands. They take great care of their horses. I have the proof at my house. They were so thrilled with Peyton and with what I've done with him they sent their 7yr old BS Paint gelding Dusty to me to train and sell. He was badly beaten and abused before they aquired him, and cast off as useless and dangerous. They were going to shoot him when they stepped up and took him home. He is a very nice horse. Well put together (beautiful conformation), with a very kind eye. He has just never been taught how to be good. We think he was beat on the head a lot, he is VERY head shy. We also think he was just bucked out and roped off of, never truly "trained." He was the classic "broke" which is why I hate that term. He is slowly gaining confidence every day and has already made huge leaps and bounds. I started a blog for his family to keep tabs on him (http://vadusty.blogspot.com).
I am still in school: History 201 (us history), ANS 438 (Canadian Ag), ANS 410 (stockshow internship), ANS 317 (AI class - done/certified), SPCH 112 (public speaking)....
History is the toughest, but I enjoy History so it's not too bad. It's tough going to class 5 days a week in it though. I go to "school" 6 days a week, and give ALL my lessons Sunday afternoons. so thats a bit tough not having a true "break."
Anyways, got homework to do, post later!

Stressed To The Max!
ok so life has been pretty hectic. I have been trying to attempt 18 HARD credit hours plus helping mom at Alegre (Travel) and being self-employed giving lessons. I have also applied for a part time job at D & B. I talked to the manager last week and he said "You are in the good pile." so maybe I'll be getting a call for an interview. yay.
However, I am taking a break from hard schooling. I realize I am just mentally burnt out and can't take the stress anymore so I am going to be taking 12-14 credit hours per term MAX. I will be starting over in math, and taking the "in-betweener" classes like Math 105 (Algebraic Reasoning), before re-taking Math 111 (Pre-Calc). I give up on attempting to keep my full ride scholarship. I have been so stressed that I had practically a nervous break down. Last October I watched Saw with some friends. I don't really like horror/thriller movies but I thought what the hell. well because of my "stress" it affected me pretty bad. Two weeks later I had to house sit for my parents and for those that don't know, they live in the middle of nowhere. My friend stayed with me but the week was pretty traumatic after the movie. Over Christmas break I ended up having to sleep with a nightlight, and even that didn't always help. For 3 months after break I couldn't stay at my parents. I would have an Anxiety attack. I decided to see a counselor about it, but she didn't help me at all. I then went to one of the counselors at the college and he has helped wonders. He did something called EMDR which is just moving the bad mental images out of my mind. it was weird, but it worked. Mom left over spring break so it was just me and dad. I was pretty upset at first because after everything I was going through, her leaving made it worse. the anxiety up until she left was mind boggling. I felt like I was 8 years old again wanting my "mommy." After she departed though it got better. Staying at the house was fine as long as dad got home not long after dark. I have since moved out of the dorms (in the process), and back into my parents. I need to get my life back moving forward, and this I feel is the only way to truly conquer my fears. I am not scared anymore, but sometimes I still get the anxiety feelings. Sometimes I can surpress them, sometimes I can't. but now instead of shaking and trembling and crying, I just get nervous for a few minutes, or less.
I am going to take college slow, which isn't a big yippee as I still want out in 4 years, but its not going to happen and keep myself sane. which I prefer sanity over getting out in 4 years.
One of my lesson students decided she wants lessons 2x a week now, yay $80 a month from her now :).... I also have another student who wants lessons on my lesson horse, so $80-160 more a month.... :):):)

First Blog
Ok, well my family is starting a blog, and I've considered it, so I might as well. Maybe it will keep my family un-confused about my many changing plans. This would have been helpful when I had Kola, the horse I rescued for my senior project, instead of keeping a diary on my website.
Well lets see. A couple weeks ago I started Victory Acres officially. It has been my unofficial business since 2002, but now that I am 20 I felt it was time to take the "official" step of getting an Assumed Business Name. I haven't made too much, but being a full time college student with that job, and working for my mom on an as-needed basis, and trying to find another part-time job, life gets pretty hectic. In some ways I will be a full time student with 18 credit hours this term with 3 jobs and a 1/2 jobs. (1/2 being my Dad's farm).
Horses. Still have 5! My mom has one but I don't claim her. I have Aspen, a Breeding stock Paint, she's 15 and an October baby so she won't turn 16 until October. I have a Thoroughbred Gelding named Killer George (I call him Peyton). He is 16 now. I also have Kiya, Odessa and Auzzie. Kiya is my Tobiano Paint filly out of my cousin Matt's stud. She will be 2 in June and I can't wait to start her. SHE'S HUGE! She's around 15hh and not 2 yet. Odessa is my reining filly. She will be 4 in May. WOW my baby is 4. My mom, Robert (a friend), Anna (My German sister) and I all drove to Roy, WA (way the hell up PAST Seattle) to pick her up sight unseen no pre-vet! That was a gamble. Bought her my Senior Year of highschool. She is riding great, I have put around 65 rides on her and she is just a baby doll. And then there's Auzzie. He is Aspens colt. He is a buckskin QH/Paint and although ugly as sin right now cus of his winter hair, he is cute as can be in the summer, and unlike when he was a weanling he is a sweety now.
By now you've learned horses are my passion, life and obsession. Deal! If you don't like them, go away your not worth my time.
I train using Clinton Anderson Methods and they are really fun to teach to my lesson students. Their reactions crack me up. I was working with a paint mare Sunday (the 6th) and this mare has trampled me before and has NO ground manners. I put her in their round pen that they finally got and after 40 minutes in the RP she was amazing, following me around, keeping TWO EYES and NEVER two heels. The owner was like "WOW, Oh my gosh, I can't believe it! Is this the same horse?" I was just laughing inside lol.
Anyways, homework to do, post more when something interesting happens!
