Equine Massage Therapy

I have filled out my application and am getting ready to fax it in with my deposit to attend the Equissage campus of Equine Sports Massage Therapy.

I have been wanting to do this for 3-4 years now but because of school, never thought it was possible. I called it my Pipe Dream. However, that dream is finally becoming a reality. My entire life I have gone against the grain of societal norms. I didn't participate in sports in middle or high school, I instead competed whole halfheartedly with my equine companions in my own sport. I didn't leave or sell my horses when I went to college and I never understood those that did. I went to college because "it is the way it's done" and I don't regret it but I still don't feel like I have fulfilled any major accomplishments towards my future.

So many people come up and ask me what I want to do now that I am done (or nearly done) with school. I always just give a very blank stare, get a little panicky and have absolutely NO response! Mainly I just mumble something about "whatever I can find" but that is what I HAVE to do, not what I WANT to do. Horses are my passion, my knowledge, my strength and much to many peoples dismay, my life. They always have been, and I am NOT ashamed to say that I hope and want them to always be.

So, I am continuing with my Riding Instructors Certificate, and becoming certified in Equine Sports Massage Therapy, and maybe someday Equine Appraisal. I am determined to live a life I can be proud of and say I did it my way!

lol Yahtzee, you will ALWAYS do things your way. But seriously, I'm really happy for you that you're following your own dreams and using your individuality to fuel them. You go, girl!

Lol Leah, yes, I am a unique individual, but would you really want it any other way?
